Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black peppercorns

  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground star anise
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped carrots
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped green beans
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup of peas
  • 1/2 cup of dried beans
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the salt, black peppercorns, white pepper, cumin, coriander, black pepper, cloves, star anise, sesame oil, onion, carrots, green beans, cilantro, and parsley.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Add the peas, dried beans, and vegetable oil.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the peas are heated through.
  6. Serve hot.
